Out of the box to me is anything you might normally not do.  I have been saving every tin for the last countless years and never got around to altering one.  So I decided to finally alter one and create a birthday gift box and matching card.
I painted the tin white and embellished it.  Here is the top of the tin....

The inside is just the right size for a gift card  and a note....

and a card to match.  I used Mojo 341 sketch.....

I hope you get a chance to play along!  Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Radiant Neon Blog Hop

BlogHop_badge

Welcome to the CardMaker and Imagine Crafts Radiant Neon Blog Hop!!  Imagine Crafts will be giving away a full set of Radiant Neon Inks to one lucky person, and yes, this is an international contest!!

Today's hop starts at CardMaker Blog, then go in order to the next blog to collect the "Electric Words" to build a phrase.  Then email the phrase to marketing@imaginecrafts.com.  You can find all the rules on the Imagine Crafts Blog.

Here is a quick and simple card featuring Radiant Neon Inks...

1.  Stamp Impression Obsession's  Floral Silhouette D9163 with Versafine Ony Black.  Color image with Fantastix using a flicking motion, starting with the lightest to darkest colors.  Here I used Radiant Neon  Electric Yellow then Electric Green for the leaves and stems and for the blossoms I started with with Radiant Neon Electric Blue and finished with Radiant Neon Purple.

2. Cut Image out and spray with Goosebumps Shimmer Spray for added texture.

3. Wrap linen thread around image.  Create a tag with Impression Obsession's Mini Rectangle Tag 2 Die Set DIE014-J and stamp Hello A9049 with Versafine Onyx Black.  Wrap linen thread around image and tie tag to it.

 4.  Pop image up over a 3-7/8" x 1-6/8" black mat.  Attach to a 4" x 1-7/8" white mat.

5. Die cut  Fancy Cutout Border DIE152-N and cut to 3-3/4" wide and attach to a 3-3/4" x 5" panel that has been embossed with Sizzix X and O Embossing Folder.  Adhere to 4" x 5-1/4" black mat.

6. Attach to a white 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" card base.

Don't forget to start at Cardmaker blog at the top of the hop list so you get all the "Electric Words" in the correct order and the rules are posted on the Imagine Crafts Blog.  Now off you go to collect your electric words and be inspired!!

On to my project....
My card is definitely not a reflection of our weather since they are calling for more snow flurries today.
The clouds were sponged with Memento London Fog and Summer Sky, and one popped up for dimension.  Then a wee bit of glitter glue added.
The rain was created from the negative of the Fancy Cut Out Border and a thin layer of Judikin's Diamond Glaze added.
The Sun was sponged with Memento Cantaloupe and Tangelo and a wee bit of glitter glue added.
The sentiment was colored with memento Markers directly on the stamp and a wee bit of glitter glue added to the word "sun". The framed with one of the squares from the Square Shaker Frame.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

On to my projects....

Here is a quick baby card that features  Clothesline Set DIE146-Z and matching   Stamp Set Clothesline CL539. The background was sponged with Memento Summer Sky and a homemade cloud template and "Congratulation was embossed with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I added 2  Sm. Bird Set DIE154-A to hold up the clothesline and stamped those cute baby outfits on scrap patterned paper.  Only the bottoms of the clothes were  popped up to give the impression that they were blowing in the wind. Simply embellish with part of a Mini Rectangle Tags 1 DIE013-J
and a pearl.

For a link to Mitra's tutorial on HOW TO  ALIGN STAMPS AND DIES....click HERE
Definitely the easiest way to do it!

On to my projects....

Today I have more quick and easy CAS cards to share.  Until I have my back surgery that is all that can come out of my craft room.  That is one reason I love dies so much, you can create something fast that still looks great!

I paired Thanks Word DIE162-A with Floral Lace Heart DIE054-S for a 5 minute card.  The heart was sponged with Memento Rose Bud ink and popped up over an embossed panel that has been sponged with VersaMagic Pixie Dust around the edges. The "Thanks word has been attached with a mini glue pen. A few rhinestones and some ribbon to finish it off.

This next card is also a super quick!  I paired Lg. Bird on Branch DIE161-N with Tiny Flowers DIE140-D.

Precious Treasure B13027 was stamped with Delicata Shimmery Silver ( It didn't show up well in the photo) on a paper doily. The edges of the kraft card stock was sponged with Memento Toffee Crunch and some silver ribbon and tiny pearls were added.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck with the drawing!!
