My card just doesn't get any quicker or simpler!! A whopping 5 minutes from start to finish! I love the beautiful script on this sentiment called Elegant Christmas E8774.  I stamped it with Versamark  and embossed it with Imagine Crafts Gold Embossing Powder.  I rounded the corners with a WR Memory Cropadile Corner Chomper and popped it up over a Gold Mirror paper Square Shaker Frame DIE002-Z.  It was simply embellished with a Silver Mirror bow cut from the Fancy Ornament DIE026-O,  some rhinestones, and some embossed snowflakes in the back panel.  Definitely a card that could be mass produced quickly.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

I found an old photo from a Christmas gone by and decided to turn it into a little gift for my daughter. Here is how to create this project....

1~ Ink Impression Obsession's Brush Tree Line E7724 and Delicate Snowflakes F6602 with StazOn Opaque Cotton White and stamp the Delicate Snowflakes  randomly on the glass from the picture frame.

2~ Using the same Ink stamp the Brush Tree Line on the bottom of the glass.  You can see I laid the matting under the glass to get a feel for how much to stamp.

3~ Dab a Fantastix into the StazOn Opaque Cotton White Pad and dot over glass. to give the appearance of snowy weather randomly over the glass.

4~ Die cut Impression Obsession's Sled Die DIE108F and using an Ink Blusher dab Clear Creative Medium over it.

5~ Pour some glitter over top.  I have a piece of copy paper under it so I can easily pour the excess glitter back into the bottle.

6~  This dries very quickly and is ready to adhere to the front of the glass.

7~ Adhere your photo to a piece of patterned paper and assemble your frame back together~EASY PEASY PROJECT!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!

Quick and Easy Apron Tutorial

Hello Friends!
It's been a wicked 5 weeks here. I have both sciatic nerves pinched and have been struggling to walk let alone blog and visit. I finally realized it was time to take time off of my day job and look after me and am starting to heal thanks to some amazing IMS treatments.  Enough of that...just wanted you to know I am still here.

This project was one of the make and takes at the last Pampered Crafter's Retreat and is perfect for Christmas gift giving!  The ladies were surprised at how easy it was to stamp and paint on fabric!

1~Iron Apron.

2~Using an Ink Blusher, ink Canvas Flower with Memento Luxe Nautical Blue.

3~ Stamp Impression Obsession's Beautiful Life D8699 with Memento Luxe Nautical Blue.  To accentuate the words "friends", I added a little extra ink over the word friends with an Ink Blusher.

4~ Lay out your ribbon and lace to figure out where to stamp your image and then remove them. I used a Stampamajig to remember the exact spot to stamp.

5~Ink Impression Obsession's Hang In There F8726 with Memento Luxe Nautical Blue.  With an Ink Blusher I removed some ink on the right side of each bird to create a shadow.  Stamp image on apron.

6~ I adhered some ribbon strips with Allene's Fabric Glue. Using a Fantastix paint the close pegs with 52 Sand All-Purpose Ink, leaving a some unpainted areas for highlights.

7~Using a Fantastix, paint over the 52 Sand All-Purpose Ink with 74 Champagne Mist All-Purpose Ink. This gives a nice subtle shimmer.

8~ Adhere the rest of your embellishments and iron with a dry iron on high to heat set.  My iron looks like it has water in it was empty.  I put a piece of copy paper in between the iron and the apron.  I ironed the inked/painted images for 2 minutes on each side.

Here are some close ups of the embellished areas....

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

A Card For Him & A Sale

Hello Friends!

Impression Obsession's very generous annual online sale is on!!!!  I know Diane and I will be shopping for our next Pampered Crafter's Retreat that will be held at beautiful Gull Lake, Alberta in May 2014.  All of my make and takes at the previous retreat in October featured Impression Obsession stamps and Dies as well as Imagine Crafts / Tsukineko inks and crafty supplies and the Sorority Sisters loved them and will be tickled to find some IO products in the never ending prize box in May!

On to my card....

I  have used some more Impression Obsession images by artist Kalani Allred.  Success and Happiness D14045 was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with Imagine Crafts Clear Embossing Powder.
Key 3 C14044 was also stamped with Versamark and embossed with Copper Ep.  To create the copper layer and frame I simply rubbed the edge of the paper directly with the Versamark pad and embossed it. I love this technique because it can make cheapo paper look very expensive!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American Friends!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!

The inspiration for this card comes from Burl Ives singing " Have A Holly Jolly Christmas".  I do love old traditional Christmas music and that is one of my favorites. Needless to say I quote him quite vocally throughout the Christmas season...much to the chagrin of anybody in listening range!

I am having troubles with my camera but my sentiment is definitely red, white and green.  I colored Holly Jolly D14121 directly with Memento Cottage Ivy and Lady Bug Red Markers, leaving uninked strips.  Once stamped on my card stock, the blank strips were glittered up using a Zig 2 way glue pen and some glitter, giving it a sweet candy cane look.

The frame for Holly Jolly D14121 was created by die cutting the Holly Wreath DIE109-Y twice, cutting it and adhering it in an oval around the sentiment.  I used the berries from the Twig Wreath Die Set DIE023-X  and sponged the birds with Memento Rich Cocoa.  To finish it off I added a blinged snowflake  from the Sm Snowflake Set DIE100-F to top the  red bow.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!

Impression Obsession Framed Beach Art Tutorial

Hello Friends!

With Christmas fast approaching it's time to get some handmade gifts created!  This is an easy project to make and was one of my make and takes at the Pampered Crafter's Retreat and I promised a tutorial, so here is how to create this project....

~Start with the matting from an 8 x 10 picture frame and a piece of  card stock cut at 3 3/4 " x 5 1/2", sponge with Memento Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa.  Using a foam brush add glue to where you want your sand and sprinkle sand over it and let dry.  I added a wee bit of glitter to the sand before adhering....

Stamp Sweet Seahorse C9016 with Memento Nautical Blue and sponge Memento Desert Sand directly over it.  I stamped 3 because I made a few of these but you only need one....

Fussy cut it out and sponge with Nautical Blue and Rich Cocoa ink and set aside....

Die cut  3 shells and the starfish from the Shell Set DIE077.   Sponge Memento Rich Cocoa on the starfish while it is still in the die. I just love the fact that this die allows you to ink details on your die cut!!  Remove it from the die and sponge Desert Sand and Nautical Blue on it....

Sponge Memento Nautical Blue and Rich Cocoa on the 3 shells (one seems to be missing from the pix).  Die cut 2 birds from the  Sea Birds DIE078-F and sponge them with Memento London Fog and Rich Cocoa....

I used the 8mm ball end of the Stylus from Susan's Garden Tool kit and rolled it over the back of the starfish and seahorse, the scallop shell was done on the front.  This gives your project a ton of dimension....

Die cut 1 wave from the Ocean Border DIE101-D and lightly sponge with Nautical Blue. I doodled some whitecaps on the waves with a Faber Castell Pitt White Artist Pen and added some Elizabeth Craft Microfine Glitter....

Apply Scor-tape to the front of the waves and adhere it behind the sanded mat. Cut an 8 x 10  piece of card stock and put in the frame behind your sanded mat....

Stamp Shell In Your Pocket D9006 on the  sponged 3 3/4 " x 5 1/2" card stock with Rich Cocoa and adhere to frame....

Adhere the Sea Birds DIE078-F, pearls, and a rope bow to the frame....

Hot glue a small piece of fish net and some real shells (I purchased mine at Micheals) in the bottom corner. Tuck the Sweet Seahorse C9016 in and adhere....

Adhere the 2 shells  and pop the starfish up over them.  Adhere a pearl to the scallop shell and add it to the cluster of shells on the bottom....

Your all done!  Easy peasy eh!

I hope this inspires you to give handmade Christmas presents this year!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

  Hello Friends!

Be inspired and check out what colorful creations  the talented IO ladies are sharing.....

   IO Blog

I have three projects to share today.  Here is how I created these projects.....

Fancy Fold Ornament Card...

Sponge the edges of the kraft card stock pieces with Memento Rich Cocoa.
5" x 7 1/2" scored at 5"
4" x 8" scored at 4"
Square Shaker Frame DIE002-Z
Mini Rectangle Tags 2 DIE014-J

Stamp Delicate Snowflakes F6602 on the card base with Memento Rich Cocoa.

Sponge the edges of  3 Vintage Ornament DIE032-J, 4 gable decorations from the Brick HouseDIE119-Z,  the label from the Mini Rectangle Tags 2 DIE014-J
and a 4 15/16" x 4 x 15/16" piece of card stock with Memento Teal Zeal.

Stamp Delicate Snowflakes F6602 with Memento Teal Zeal on the ornaments. I stamped off on scratch paper first for a softer blue. Adhere the Square Shaker Frame DIE002-Z to your blue square.

Adhere one full doily to the inside of the card base.  Cut another doily in half and adhere one half to the front of the card base on the 2 1/2" flap.  Save the other half doily for another project.

Adhere the blue square to the front of the 4" x 8"  piece. Open the card base and adhere it over the center of the full doily.

Score the down the center of each Vintage Ornament DIE032-J.

Fold along the score lines and stack/adhere them on top of each other (only putting your glue on the outside of your ornaments).

It should look like this after adhering.

Adhere the ornament to the center of the shaker frame and the Gable decorations to the corners.  Stamp Joy from the  Deck The Halls CL484 with Memento Rich Cocoa and  attach it to the tag. Add a strong adhesive (I used score tape) and attach the tag to the edge of the card base. This is now the closure for your card.

I added a snowflake from the Snowflake DIE024-X,
to the center ornament as well as some string pearls and tinsel. Added some self adhesive pearls rhinestones to finish the front off.

Last but not least I stamped Tapestry Ornament E8824 on the center of the flap that you see when the card opens in Rich Cocoa.  This looks more complicated than it is. The ladies at our Pampered Crafters Retreat loved making this card.
